Deze bijeenkomst van 22 en 23 mei 2020 in Praag is afgelast. Het is onbekend of de meeting van 2021 ook in het teken zal staan van volwassenen met PWS.

De bijeenkomst wordt georganiseerd door INfoRMEd-PWS.
Dit is het Internationale Netwerk voor Onderzoek, Management & Onderwijs naar volwassenen met PWS. Het netwerk verenigt toonaangevende PWS-experts uit Nederland, Zweden, Italië, Frankrijk, Spanje, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Australië. Het netwerk wordt gecoördineerd door Dr. Laura de Graaff-Herder van het Erasmus MC in Nederland.

INfoRMEd-PWS is opgericht door volwassen endocrinologen, die lid zijn van de European Society of Endocrinology. De PWS Meeting gaat vooraf aan het Europese Endocrinologie Congres 2020 dat in Praag zal worden gehouden.

Voor wie?
De bijeenkomst is gericht op internationale professionals met speciale interesse in de zorg voor volwassenen met het Prader-Willi syndroom. Hoewel de nadruk zal liggen op interne geneeskunde en endocrinologie, zal het ook interessant zijn voor andere disciplines zoals cardiologen, voedingsdeskundigen, klinische genetici, artsen voor verstandelijk gehandicapten en kinderartsen. Paramedische professionals zoals fysiotherapeuten, diëtisten, verpleegkundigen, psychologen en professionele zorgverleners zijn ook welkom.

International PWS Meeting Prague in May 2020

The first international PWS meeting about adults with PWS will take place in Prague on May 22nd and 23rd 2020.The meeting is organized by INFOrMEd-PWS. This is the International Network for Research, Management & Education on adults with PWS. The network unites leading PWS experts from the Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, France, Spain, the United Kingdom and Australia. The network is coordinated by Dr. Laura de Graaff-Herder from Erasmus MC in the Netherlands.

In INfoRMEd-PWS endocrinologists from the European Society of Endocrinology collaborate on PWS. The PWS Meeting will take place prior to the 2020 European Congress of Endocrinology in Prague.

Attendees:
The meeting is targeted towards international professionals with special interest in the care of adult patients with Prader-Willi Syndrome. Although the focus will be on internal medicine and endocrine matters, it will also be interesting for other disciplines like cardiologists,  nutritionists, clinical geneticists, physicians for intellectual disabilities and paediatricians. Paramedical professionals (physiotherapists, dietitians), nurses, psychologists, and professional caregivers are also welcome.
